Company Staff - Duties and Responsibilities

    Role of Company Staff

    The role of the Company Staff is to execute the vision of the Battalion respective to the Military Occupation Specialties assigned to the Company. The Company Staff is comprised of the following:

    1. Company Commander
    2. Company Executive Officer
    3. Company First Sergeant


    Responsibilities

    The following is a list of basic responsibilities. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, merely the basis with which to start.

    1. Responsible for the ongoing health and morale of the Company in all respects.
    2. Be available to the Members of the Company at all times when online.
    3. Admin all game servers as required.
    4. Perform administrative duties associated with the Company (e.g. AARs, discipline).
    5. Train and directly supervise the Company Staff.
    6. Other duties as required.


    Company Officer Duties (CO/XO)

    Daily Duties

    1. Take Care of Enlisted - When on Discord be available for your enlisted members of the Company. Be prompt when responding to requests for assistance over Discord, BattleMetrics, or the website.
    2. Make an effort to meet with Platoon Staff to build a rapport and ensure a positive working relationship with them.
    3. Spend time with all enlisted members and leadership within your Company.
    4. Administrative tasks - Ensure transfers, AWOLs, LOAs, and Discharges happen in a timely manner, and monitor them for any changes to the Company Strength.
    5. Counseling - Issue appropriate counselling measures as required to ensure understanding and compliance with all rules, regulations and minimum expectations.
    6. Promotions - Follow Task Force Promotion Policy in regards to promotion recommendations passed up from within the Company. Perform spot checks to ensure no one who meets promotion requirements has been overlooked.
    7. Awards - Follow Task Force Award Policy in regards to award recommendations passed up from within the Company. Perform spot checks to ensure no one who meets award requirements has been overlooked.
    8. Ensure information is passed up and down the Chain of Command in a timely manner.

    Weekly Duties

    1. Accountability - Ensure you are attending one Official Operation per week within the Company.
    2. Report Follow up - Follow up with Platoon Staff weekly Operation AARs, coach and counsel as required. Work with Platoon Staff to resolve any issues that arise during the week.
    3. Report - Ensure that your After Action Reports are submited in a timely manner after an Official Operation.
    4. Presence - Spend at least two hours per week on the public server OR use that same two hours to conduct an office hour in Discord voice to be available to Enlisted Members while working on TFE related work. Either option for two hours fulfills this requirement.

    Monthly Duties

    1. Company Growth - Focus efforts on growth of the Company. This can be through organizing and encouraging Company events on the public servers, as well as leading by example when it comes to playing and recruiting on the public servers.
    2. Leadership Development - Spend time with a different Platoon Leader on a weekly/monthly basis, ensuring they understand our vision and their part in it. Support them as required.
    3. Monthly Training Plan - Coordinate with the CO/XO/1SG and Platoon Leadership to outline Monthly Training Goals.
    4. FTX (Field Training Exercise) - Coordinate with your Company Staff to plan and conduct one Company FTX every two months.


    First Sergeant Duties
