Discharge and Re-Enlistment Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish clear standards and procedures for the discharge and re-enlistment of members of Task Force Exiled. This policy ensures accountability, fairness, and consistency while maintaining the integrity and operational readiness of the Task Force.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all active members of Task Force Exiled, regardless of rank or assignment.

3. Authority

All discharge and re-enlistment decisions are made under the authority of Task Force Exiled Command, in accordance with the Task Force Code of Conduct and internal disciplinary procedures.

4. Discharge Classifications

Task Force Exiled recognizes three (3) levels of discharge:

4.1 Retired

Retired is an honorable separation recognizing extended and exemplary service.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Minimum of 1 year Time in Service (TIS)
2. No Article 15 or Article 32 actions within the last 90 days
3. Minimum rank of Gunnery Sergeant (GySgt)

Status and Privileges:

1. Member is formally retired from active duty
2. Eligible for recognition of service and honors as determined by Command
3. May be eligible for re-enlistment under special approval (see Section 6)

4.2 General Discharge

General Discharge is an administrative separation for members whose service is acceptable but does not meet the criteria for retirement.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. 1 year or less Time in Service (TIS)
2. No Article 15 or Article 32 actions within the last 90 days
3. Any rank

Status and Privileges:

1. Member is separated in good standing
2. No disciplinary stigma attached
3. Eligible to apply for re-enlistment (see Section 6)

4.3 Dishonorable Discharge

Dishonorable Discharge is the most severe form of separation and is issued for serious violations of the Task Force Exiled Code of Conduct.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. No minimum Time in Service requirement
2. Member has seriously violated the code of conduct, including but not limited to:
3. Gross misconduct
4. Abuse of authority
5. Actions that endanger Task Force Exiled or its members
6. Repeated or severe disciplinary violations

Status and Consequences:

1. Immediate separation from Task Force Exiled
2. Loss of all privileges, honors, and standing
3. Permanent ban from re-enlistment unless overturned by the Task Force Exiled Headquarters Staff

5. Discharge Process

1. Discharge action is initiated by the Command Staff or requested by the member
2. Member’s service record is reviewed (TIS, rank, disciplinary history)
3. Appropriate discharge level is determined
4. Member is notified of the decision
5. Discharge is documented and finalized in Task Force Exiled records

6. Re-Enlistment Policy

6.1 Eligibility for Re-Enlistment

1. Retired Discharge:
2. Re-enlistment permitted only with Command approval
3. Must demonstrate current operational need and suitability

1. General Discharge:
2. Eligible to re-enlist after Command review
3. Prior service record will be considered

1. Dishonorable Discharge:
2. Not eligible for re-enlistment
3. Exceptions require unanimous approval from the Task Force Exiled Headquarters Staff

6.2 Re-Enlistment Review

All re-enlistment requests will consider:

1. Previous discharge classification
2. Disciplinary history
3. Performance record
4. Current needs of Task Force Exiled
