Role of General Staff
The General Staff includes the senior leadership of the Task Force whom provide operational command and control, as well as control of all administration and support functions of the unit. General Staff is comprised of the following:
Task Force Commander
Task Force Deputy Commander
Task Force Chief of Staff
Task Force Judge Advocate
Task Force Adjutant General
Task Force Command Sergeant Major
Responsibilities
The following is a list of basic responsibilities. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, merely the base from which to start.
Responsible for the ongoing health and morale of the Take Force in all respects.
Set policies and standards for the Task Force.
Enforcement of all existing rules, regulations, and policies.
Be available to the members of the Task Force at all times when online.
Perform administrative duties associated with the Task Force (i.e. reports, discipline).
Train and directly supervise Battalion Command Staff, Staff Shop OICs, and other Task Force Staff as necessary.
Task Force Commander – Governance of the General Staff
Daily
Take Care of Enlisted - When on Discord be available for your enlisted members of the Task Force. Be prompt when responding to requests for assistance over Discord, BattleMetrics, or the website.
Make an effort to meet with members of General Staff to build a rapport and ensure a positive working relationship with them.
Spend time with enlisted and leadership within the Task Force.
Administrative tasks - Ensure proposals, recommendation approvals, appointments, and the business of the General Staff are completed in a timely manner.
Counselling - Issue appropriate counselling measures as required to ensure understanding and compliance with all rules, regulations and minimum expectations.
Promotions and Award Recommendations – Follow Task Force Policies in regards to promotion and award recommendations. Perform spot checks to ensure no one who meets promotion requirements has been overlooked.
Ensure information is passed up and down the Chain of Command in a timely manner and that due respect and opportunity is given to those within the Chain to execute their responsibilities.
Weekly
Follow up - Follow up with General Staff, coach and counsel as required. Work with General Staff to resolve any issues that arise during the week.
Strategy Development - Spend at least one hour per week focused on development of the General Staff and its strategy in the current climate. Setting policy and direction at this level, and making your intent clear is essential in enabling subordinate leaders to execute that intent.
Monthly
Policy - Work with General Staff to set policy for the entire Task Force as required.
Leadership Development - Spend time with different Colonels and Generals on a monthly basis, ensuring they understand our vision and their part in it. Mentor them as required.
Finances – Oversee finances of the unit and share the financial situation of the unit.
Donations – Oversee donations and produce the donation medal/ribbon awards statutorily awarded.
Task Force Deputy Commander
Daily
Take Care of Enlisted - When on Discord be available for your enlisted members of the Task Force. Be prompt when responding to requests for assistance over Discord, BattleMetrics, or the website.
Make an effort to meet with members of General and Battalion Staff to build a rapport and ensure a positive working relationship with them.
Spend time with enlisted and leadership within the Task Force.

Run the day-to-day operations of the Task Force. Engage in activities of oversight on the following:
Battalions: Ensure they adhere to Task Force Policy and Rules and are working to the intent of the Task Force Commander.
Staff Shops: Ensure they adhere to Task Force Policy and Rules, and are working to the intent of the Task Force Commander.
Office of the Chief of Staff: the Selction and Training, and Startup Platoon(s).
Administrative tasks - Ensure proposals, recommendation approvals, appointments, and the business of the General Staff are completed in a timely manner.
Promotions and Award Recommendations – Follow Task Force Policies in regards to promotion and award recommendations. Perform spot checks to ensure no one who meets promotion requirements has been overlooked.

Review the progress of new game development (Selection and Training).
Coach and mentor all Officers and Senior NCOs.
Task Force Adjutant General
Daily

Occupy the senior disciplinarian role within Task Force Exiled.
Promotions and Award Recommendations – Follow Task Force Policies in regards to promotion and award recommendations. Perform spot checks to ensure no one who meets promotion requirements has been overlooked.
Counselling - Issue appropriate counselling measures as required to ensure understanding and compliance with all rules, regulations and minimum expectations.

Task Force Command Sergeant Major

Approve and appoint the promotion proposals of Battalion Sergeant Major.
Work alongside and support the Battalion Sergeant Major’s to ensure all companies are running effectively.
Pass information both up and down the chain of command in an accurate and timely manner as required.
Counseling - Issue appropriate counselling measures as required to ensure understanding and compliance with all rules, regulations and minimum expectations.
Weekly
Accountability - Ensure you are attending one Official Operation per week within the Task Force.
Follow up - Follow up with Battalion Staff, coach and counsel as required. Work with Battalion Staff to resolve any issues that arise during the week.
Monthly
